    Terms of Service

    Last updated: August 2, 2026

Plain-language terms for an indie UK product. Not solicitor-reviewed — get legal advice if you need formal contractual certainty.

    Agreement

By creating an account or using StatusBolt, you agree to these terms. If you use StatusBolt on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

    The service

StatusBolt provides status pages, subscriber notifications, monitoring, and related tools. Features vary by plan (Free, Pro, Business). We may change features with reasonable notice for paid plans.

    Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information. Do not share accounts in a way that violates plan limits.

    Your subscribers

You retain ownership of your status page content. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect subscriber emails and for complying with anti-spam and privacy rules. StatusBolt processes subscriber data to send the notifications you request.

    Acceptable use

    • No illegal content or abuse of monitoring endpoints
    • No attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service
    • No spam via subscriber notification channels
    • Respect rate limits and security controls

    Billing

Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Trials convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as we reasonably agree after a support request. You can manage billing from the dashboard portal.

    Cancellation

You can cancel a paid plan anytime from the dashboard or Stripe customer portal. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.

    Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring or notification delivery. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to fees paid in the three months preceding a claim, and excludes indirect damages arising from downtime or third-party processors (Stripe, AuthSMTP, OpenAI).

    Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
